Executive Meeting Manager

Job Description Summary

The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for proactively prospecting facilitating and closing group and catering business opportunities as well as event execution. This position is a combination group and catering sales and servicing of all events.

This is an on-property role and is not applicable for remote work.

Qualifications And Skills

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.

  • Minimum of two years hotel Sales and/or Catering Sales experience preferred in either a sales manager, catering sales manager or executive meeting manager role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Delphi (Sales, BEOs, Reporting), Cvent, All Meetings and Meeting Broker preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization, and presentation skills
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrable expertise in analysis and action taking
  • Excellent oral and written communication

Job Description

  • Strategy and Planning:
  • Solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts (prospecting, lead follow up, telemarketing, direct mail, referrals, internet prospecting, etc.) to maximize revenues to meet/exceed goals.
  • Develop and implement creative sales strategy by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trends.
  • Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Participate in training, trade shows, field trips and community, industry, and professional organizations to maintain high visibility in support of the achievement of sales and revenue goals.
  • Operational:
  • Sell, up-sell, plan, and coordinate function details with clients to include but not limited to room block, space requirements, meeting times, equipment, menus, billing, etc.
  • Prepare and execute sales/catering contracts, event orders, group/catering resumes to ensure quality product delivery and exceed customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate, legible records and files consistent with established systems and protocols
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by direct report
  • Financial Management:
  • Maximize revenues by meeting and exceeding booking goals.
  • Solicit and close appropriate groups and events based on the property’s needs and demands.
  • Utilize and collaborate with resources across different departments
  • Capable of influencing team members to perform to their highest standard and establishing a trusting environment to enrich the culture
  • Lead by example and operate with integrity and respect

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
