The Role

As an Executive Assistant at Cedar, you’re at the center of our organization and keep the team moving forward. You anticipate the needs of the executives you support and move quickly with the changing environment. In addition to being organized and analytical, you show ownership, have strong communication skills, and are comfortable working behind the scenes.

In this role, you will support Cedar’s CEO and General Counsel. You’ll help keep them organized, prepared, and well-equipped for their ever-changing schedules and vast array of responsibilities. This role’s workstyle is flex, so you will need to be comfortable traveling to our office in Tribeca (NYC) several times a month.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively and strategically manage the executive’s time with respect to priorities, goals, and objectives. Ensure they balance team interaction, strategy, meetings, and personal time.
  • Expand the reach of Cedar’s CEO across the organization by being an extension of him.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as booking travel, creating itineraries, processing expense reports, etc.
  • Build a solid and positive relationship with the executives you support as well as other Cedarians
  • Represent Cedar's CEO through email and other communications with current and prospective clients, candidates, investors, board members, and partners
  • Work cross-functionally internally and with external vendors to plan upcoming events
  • Be an active and engaged member of the executive support team, backing up other teammates as needed and helping to create the team’s foundation and roadmap
  • Build efficiency and responsiveness into existing processes

The Ideal Candidate

  • You have 7-10 years of experience, at least 5 of which have been supporting the C-suite or an HNW individual
  • You have previous experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment
  • You are able to work out of the NYC office several times a month (Tribeca area)
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and have a high level of discretion and judgment
  • You’re a strong communicator with the ability to adjust your communication style depending on the audience you’re addressing
  • You’re capable of building strong, positive relationships with a diverse group of employees and clients
  • You have an acute attention to detail, are highly responsive, and have impeccable organization and follow-up skills
  • You have a track record of managing busy, fluctuating schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • You enjoy and prefer to work with a team of administrative and executive assistants
  • You’re comfortable making executive decisions quickly and effectively with little guidance
  • You’re a wizard at prioritizing, meeting deadlines, and working cross-functionally across the organization
  • You have experience with G-suite, Slack, Zoom, TripActions and Expensify

Compensation Range and Benefits
  • Salary/Hourly Rate Range*: $106,250 - $125,000
  • This role is equity eligible
