Job Title: Executive Director, Product Line/Solutions Management


Introduction:

Executive Director, Product Line/Solutions Management is a key member of the solutions group management, who will effectively lead cross-product and cross solution teams, driving strategic alignment and ultimately delivering new solutions, managing the product lifecycle, enable offerings as well as managing product operations. This individual will be the Solutions Owner for Saas solutions for TGCS.

This role will be responsible for understanding retailers needs of driving transformation across their front end and play the thought leader (both internal and external) to drive strategy. This leader will be responsible for holistic solutions that include Loss Prevention and Frictionless solutions and enable retailers to create operational efficiencies and improve customer experience. This executive will be responsible for growing TGCS revenue & presence in new markets and segments as well as enable new revenue opportunities in current markets.

Externally and internally this individual will work closely with customers, partners, market analysts and internal teams, to generate cohesive VOC feedback, understand areas of opportunity, ultimately drive priorities for solutions/products and enabling solutions expansion.

Working directly with stakeholders throughout TGCS business, this person will promote internal alignment, transparency and will empower his/her team to execute with quality, efficiency, urgency and innovation in mind.


Responsibilities:


  • Front End Transformation Strategy –
    • Set and drive the strategic direction for SaaS solutions, align with the TGCS vision, goals/objectives, and strategies
    • Define, Refine and defend the value proposition of identified solutions
    • Participate and/or determine the strategy for emerging solutions businesses as well as product/solution besides managing assigned portfolio.
    • Manage the assigned portfolio of products (Loss Prevention, Frictionless, etc). Manage all phases of PLM work and supervisory functions. Formulate Solution strategy including key levers to positively achieve results; synchronize solution strategy with broader TGCS SW, HW, and overall business strategy, working with global portfolio/strategy functions (combined with local teams) to assess and prioritize markets & portfolio offerings.
    • Drive competitive analysis and compete strategies against established players and new threats. Engage on the launch of new releases.
    • Own market definition, sizing, and segmentation
    • Initiate and own the business case for the solution
    • Drive voice-of-the-customer and market research/analysis to understand the needs of customers in the target markets/segments
    • Work with internal and external development partners (architects, UI/UX/Test) to craft the solution approach
  • Participate, create and manage to midterm business plan (MTBP) within the area of responsibility.
  • Lead the development of cross functional strategies and delivery plans with other functions. Lead the global portfolio/development/services teams to translate business requirements into solution delivery plans and services/support offerings
  • Establish and maintain cross organizational alignment on various processes (Services, Marketing, Sales)
  • Analyze the performance of the solutions and take preemptive actions to avoid problems and exploit opportunities. Manage and track progress against financial targets, including continuous risk assessment and mitigation
  • Manage continuous improvement of portfolio management processes globally
  • Help build relationships with strategic global customers. Support executive briefings and provide direct client-facing sales support for high-impact, qualified opportunities. Support execution of strategic partnerships, customer engagements, and drive new business growth. Speak at customer briefings, conferences & events, and assist selectively with strategic sales efforts. Coordinate product ideas and schedules with key customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience building and taking SaaS solutions to market
  • Dynamic, articulate, energetic and self-starter personality with demonstrated ability to translate industry and customer insight into executable strategic vision
  • Proven results-driven individual with good business acumen; ability to manage forecasts, costs, and budgets to meet strategic objectives for the business
  • Solid understanding of Solutions for both software and hardware.

  • Experience understanding the go-to market surrounding Retail solution
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in both client-facing and internal situations; can articulate industry and operational insights clearly and persuasively to all levels of executives and management, translating information to audience-appropriate levels using oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong demonstrated ability in analysis of market requirements; ability to map business requirements to solution roadmaps, with strong domain knowledge in the retail industry including competitive solutions, complementary solutions, consumer trends (omni-channel, mobility, social, etc.) and a deep understanding of retailer business needs
  • Creative, entrepreneurial thinker who can manage risks, try new approaches, and use good judgment to build and grow the business
  • Exceptional team player with proven ability to drive solutions from concept to delivery by coordinating across functional areas to plan, deliver, market, sell, and support retail industry solutions (cross-functional team leadership – current people good at explaining what is happening not making strong grounded recommendation)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent experience
