Job Overview: The Events Coordinator at King Jesus International Ministry (“KJM”) assists in the planning and coordinating of internal and external events and conferences. The Events Coordinator must be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and coordinative tasks, be highly organized and good at multitasking. They must also be able to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans and organizes events, conferences and religious services according to the requirements of KJM, including hiring appropriate vendors, booking venues and hotels, planning transportation and arranging for other event needs.
  • Meets with ministries to determine event needs and goals.
  • Negotiating prices and maintaining relationships with vendors and hotels.
  • Calculates event budgets and maintains events within approved budget requirements.
  • Monitors and oversees events from preparation and set-up through teardown to ensure adherence to planned format, compliance with KJM policy and procedures, support vendors, resolve any unplanned issues, and ensure the overall satisfaction of participants and KJM.
  • Attends church service coordination meetings to help support our congregant’s service experience.
  • From time to time may be required to cover other church service event needs like overseeing Communion prep, providing instructions to all ministries participating in service, ensuring the Temple is prepared, and ensuring the right person is placed to ensure the scriptures are being properly displayed during service.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Preferred (2) years experience in event planning

  • Be a born-again Christian who conducts affairs in accordance with the Bible and maintains a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.
