The team is seeking a full-time Events/Banquet Manager to support the Group Sales division of Hospitality. The Events Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service and will be involved in every step of group business, including from sales, planning, execution, and follow-up. The Events Manager will get to develop and lead a team of banquet staff and be able to continue creatively the planning of public events. This role allows for a great growth opportunity and the ability for learning from all other departments.

The Events Manager is responsible for finalizing client menus, event set-up details, and communicating all event details and documents to operations teams within the following formats: Lunch, Dinner, Events and Banquets, both on-sight and off-sight.

Given the nature of the events business, nights and weekend work will be required on routine occasions.

• Planning event from sales turnover to event execution
• Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events the guests experience
• Preparing all event documentation
• Is the On-property contact during events ensuring a flawless execution of details
• Ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients prior to processing the final bill
• Participates in planning and execution of Public On-Property events
• Manages banquet team schedule and assigns work pre-during-post event to ensure a successful service
• Act as a liaison to the culinary operations team and banquet team
• Responsible for Sales and Group level revenue reporting and assisting the Banquet Team with Day of Recaps as needed
• Works with IT department to select vendors or enhance systems as related to groups, events, banquets or communication
• As needed may be assigned to assist any other department within hospitality in the areas of operations, outreach, sales process, or guest services
• When events are slow, help with F&B admin work, as well as assisting with The Restaurant at JUSTIN operations

• Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service role
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) year's event and/or banquet experience preferred
• Proven success working with others
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels
• Must possess a passion for wine and the wine industry
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing is required
• Relevant wine training strongly preferred (e.g. CSW, WSET, etc.)

Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
