Job Title: Producer
Reports to: Director of Production

Position Summary
The Live Event Producer is a key position within the ETA organization as this role is responsible for managing the entire event production lifecycle for multiple customers.

The primary responsibility of each producer focuses on the following objectives:

  • Determining customer expectations through discovery and work towards meeting (& exceeding) those expectations
  • Developing or working within event strategic goals
  • Overseeing relationship-level communications with key stakeholders including check-ins, strategy sessions and up-sell opportunities.
  • Managing budget and delivery expectation with customers and internal production team
  • Working with Operations and Creative teams to provide proper support to the customer and to the ETA execution team.
  • Monitoring progress of productions to ensure they are achieving milestones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer communications and relationship management
  • Build and manage event financial budgets and supporting documents.
  • Lead internal communications with operations, creative and administrative teams to support each event project.
  • Serve as onsite lead for events.
  • Provide weekly status updates on all assigned projects at staff meetings.
  • Create and manage project timelines and milestones.
  • Create and manage project budgets.
  • Assist with event pitches with as necessary.
  • Travel as needed to support events.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communication
  • Experience managing and overseeing budgets
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the live events production space – ideally in the Producer role
  • 5-7 plus years’ managing a medium/large team to plan, deploy, manage and administer complex events

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter a low to moderate level of noise as it relates to typical business office sounds – computers, phone, printers, etc. The employee will have the flexibility to work in an office, conference room open area, or from home as needed.

While the employee is onsite at a customer event, the work environment will be of a moderate to high level of noise as is typical of an event facility such as a hotel or conference center. Here the employee can expect to be working around production equipment such as cameras, cabling, drape and supporting structure, audio/visual consoles etc. as well as the standard items that are part of typical hotel and conference center facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk or table. The employee is frequently required to walk, as into other offices or conference rooms. The specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read paper documents as well as a computer screen. The employee will be required to travel, via airplane, shuttle, rental car, personal car and/or bus to reach an event site. On event sites, the employee will be required to walk and remain on his/her feet for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to have the vison necessary to determine if lighting is appropriate, and the hearing to determine if sound is appropriate.
