TAKE-OFF SPECIALIST - ESTIMATOR

Hayes Pipe Supply, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Take-Off Specialist/Estimator/Inside Sales in our NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE location. Additional position available out of our satellite location in MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE.

We are looking for a career-minded individual seeking a long-term career opportunity with a growth-oriented company. Candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer minded with excellent communications skills, computer skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Waterworks, plumbing, construction or similar industry experience and blueprint experience are required.

Ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and perform take-offs particularly in a subdivision/commercial/private environment including storm, sanitary sewer & reclaim water.

This position will support the branch office by:

· preparing project take-offs,

· pricing products

· quote preparation.

· analyze drawings (both hard copy and electronic), specifications & addenda and will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the bidding process per project.

Additionally, some Inside Sales duties:

· Provide inside sales support for our Outside Sales team

· Assist customers and identify needs, product knowledge assistance, assist in delivery scheduling, special orders, etc.

· Assist in full life cycle of sales: creating quotes, entering orders, scheduling directs, working with vendors on scheduling deliveries and ordering specials, etc.

Requirements:

· 1-2 years minimum experience in a similar industry.

· Ability to read and understand blue prints (paper & electronic ideally) and perform product/quantity take-offs

· Familiarity with the construction/waterworks/underground industries

· Proficiency with on-line take-off software
