Williams is hiring an Estimator to join our Estimating team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents; provides complete conceptual and total bid price.

What You'll Do:

  • Review and evaluate requests for estimates.
  • Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates.
  • Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Create job folders.
  • Review plumbing documents and understand scope of work to bid.
  • Execute take-offs of construction documents.
  • Input take-offs into computer estimating software.
  • Obtain pricing for materials.
  • Obtain bids from subcontractors.
  • Prepare cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
  • Where predetermined standard(s) are not available, make an estimate.
  • Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
  • Prepare baseline schedules, budgets, and subcontracts.
  • Subcontractors- include scheduling of your subcontractors, coordination within the mechanical trade and making sure that they stay on schedule.

What You Bring:

  • Five+ years of related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Montana plumbers license preferred.
  • Skills and knowledge of all facets of plumbing operations.
  • Ability to manage people, equipment and assets.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Suite
