Estimator

We are currently seeking a full-time Estimator ( Entry level)

Mazzella Welding & Fabrication, Inc. Is an AISC certified building fabricator established in 1972 and located in Wellsburg WV, has a long-standing tradition of providing our clients with high quality Structural steel. Join our team and use your knowledge, skills and expertise to help us contribute to our continuing success of a 3rd generation Corporation .

SUMMARY DECRIPTION
Responsible to promote sales through professional communications with our clients and potential clients. Prepare quotations by using detailed material take-offs, quantities, and labor hours, involved for a fabrication of the project. Reports to the Office Manager.

Responsibilities·
1. Responsible to communications with our clients and potential clients. Prepare quotations by using detailed material take-offs, quantities, and manpower, involved for a fabrication of the project.
2.Review all Specifications and design drawings for project you are considering, with an eye toward our ability and qualifications to perform the work.
3. Review the size of the project and schedule to determine if we have adequate capacity to perform the work.
4.Complete material and labor takeoff onto the appropriate forms and do adequate calculations to assure accuracy of Quote
5. Consult other personnel and any other resource needed to put appropriate cost to your bid.
6. Type our formal bid for our clients and send it out 10 min before the bid time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Must be a high school graduate; prefer an associates degree strong in communications. 2.Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
3.Familiarity with computer spreadsheets, word processing and Microsoft office.
4.Must have good communication skills (oral and written).
5.Will need negotiating skills
6. Need to be willing to learn to read construction documents and drawings, and ability and willingness to learn all aspects of structural steel construction business.(prior experience a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
