We are seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in civil construction estimating and a proven track record of successful project estimating. We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Estimator to join our team. The MEP Estimator will be responsible for preparing and submitting comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects.

The MEP Estimator will be responsible for preparing and submitting comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include (not limited to):
- Working closely with the Director of Estimating & Preconstruction team
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems
- Collaborate with project teams to identify the scope of work, schedule, and project goals
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for MEP systems
- Provide value engineering options to project teams
- Ensure estimates comply with company and industry standards
- Develop detailed and accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Maintain and update historical cost data for future use
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid presentations as required
- Work closely with the project management team to prepare bid proposals and presentations
- Track project costs and provide feedback to project teams on actual vs. estimated costs
- Participate in project debrief meetings to analyze the accuracy of the estimates and identify areas for improvement
What You Need for this Position
- 4+ years of Estimating experience in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture field
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN EARTHWORK
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Ability to read and interpret MEP system drawings, specifications, and other project documents
- Strong knowledge of MEP system costs and industry trends
- Proficient in estimating software, such as Accubid, Trimble, or similar
- Experience in the metro DC area
- Great understanding of construction documents and construction project scheduling
- Great understanding of the processes and sequencing of construction
- Must be able to provide input into the estimating and bidding process
