ABOUT THIS POSITION
ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) is a strategic focus for T. Rowe Price; we continue to invest in this area and open new roles dedicated to this important topic.
This ESG Marketing & Communications Manager role is a newly created permanent position, sat within our central ESG Enablement team. The role is based in our Baltimore headquarters.
The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the firm to deepen, drive and coordinate our ESG marketing, communications and education plans across business segments.
They will manage all ESG marcoms linked to ESG legal and regulatory projects and act as the primary point of contact for ESG marcoms in this region.
In addition they will lead on a key priority to build awareness of our ESG Corporate efforts globally.
The primary objective of this role is to support the ESG Marcoms function and wider ESG Enablement team in building greater awareness and understanding of our ESG commitments and capabilities both internally and externally (with clients, shareholders and other stakeholders), whilst fully aligning with our global ESG strategy and brand messaging.
This role will report to T. Rowe Price’s Head of ESG Marketing & Communications, based in London. It will work collaboratively with the wider ESG Marcoms and ESG Enablement team, leaning in to support broader team priorities as needed, and acting as a key ambassador for the work of the team as a whole.
It will offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to actively participate in and contribute to the direction of our organization’s sustainability efforts in both North America and beyond. As a result, we would expect to see clear evidence of a candidate’s knowledge of ESG issues, alongside their strong marketing communications and stakeholder management credentials.
The key focus areas for this role are:
1. Build out external ESG Marketing and Communications plans for North America
  • Manage appropriate resources in the creation, compliance review, production and dissemination of agreed ESG marketing and communications output. Output could include, but is not limited to, marketing brochures, videos, presentation decks, webinars, paid media, content, email promotions and newsletters.
  • Lead the management and delivery of quality proprietary and third-party Global ESG events in region including marketing collateral, giveaways and speakers, working with our events teams as appropriate.
  • Partner with other regional/segment ESG marketers as required to ensure ESG messaging is consistently applied to local marketing materials / promotions.
  • Proactively highlight opportunities for regional / segment marketers to support promotional ESG activity.
  • Measure and report on the success of activities undertaken
2. Support the delivery of our internal ESG communications
  • Weekly updates to ESG leadership team
  • Key ambassador for the ESG Enablement Team – representing in meetings as needed
  • Lead on N. America specific internal communications (emails, meetings and intranet news)
3. Create strong internal partnerships with Marcoms & Education teams in segment.
Primary liaison with:
  • T. Rowe Price Investment Management (TRPIM)
  • Oak Hill Advisors
4. Own ESG Marcoms Team projects as appropriate
The role will be expected to lead on / support ESG marcoms projects both in N America and globally, depending on priorities.
5. Contribute to the success of the overall ESG Enablement Team
The candidate will be expected to help support overall team related initiatives, deliverables etc, working with other team members (beyond ESG MarComs) as appropriate, including,
  • Representing and advocating for the broader team and work ongoing with key internal stakeholders, ensuring consistency of narrative
  • Playing their part in ensuring outstanding communication, teamwork and execution across the ESG Enablement Team and out into the organization as a whole.
This role requires the skills of a creative, flexible and highly adaptable and motivated marketer with a high degree of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a focus on meeting delivery deadlines and an eagerness to learn and develop. The successful candidate will be required to work across the promotional mix and with multiple stakeholders across and outside the organisation, including the wider marketing team, investment writers, compliance, relationship managers, investment and research teams, and external agencies.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS OR EDUCATION & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Detail oriented and deadline focused with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable attributes:
  • Previous experience of working at T. Rowe Price
  • 8+ years experience in a marketing / communications role within financial services
  • Previous experience of working in the N America market
  • Someone who can actively demonstrate / bring diverse thinking and perspectives
WORK LOCATION
Pratt Street, Baltimore. The role offers the candidate an opportunity to work up to 2 days per week from home.
