The Escrow Officer is responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. Acts as a neutral third-party between buyers and sellers during a real estate sale, managing funds and processing real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for establishing new commercial escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Acts as a neutral third-party between buyers and sellers during a real estate sale, managing funds and processing real estate transactions.
• Review contract, title commitment and lender instructions to prepare settlement statements and develop escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Provides high-level customer service to customers as their relationship manager and maintains a portfolio of customers.
• Maintains records in the escrow accounting system and customer database and acts as an escrow agent.
• Review purchase and sale agreements with focus on duties and responsibilities of the escrow holder
• Reviews escrow reports against escrow records to ensure accuracy of posted escrow transactions.

Who you are:

• Complete knowledge and ability to handle commercial real estate transactions from receipt of contract through funding and disbursement.
• Must be licensed as an Escrow Officer in Texas.
• Expert knowledge of commercial real estate, title insurance and endorsements.
• Trusted consultant, maintaining a positive, can-do attitude that gives agents and homebuyers alike the confidence that their transaction is in reliable, good hands and will be completed on time.
• Good organizational skills and effectively manages complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent customer service skills, professional written and oral communication skills, with ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
• Problem solver, using your industry knowledge to identify potential issues; recognizing what’s wrong, knowing how to fix it and avoiding unnecessary delays.
• Constant learner, staying on top of changing rules and regulations to avoid setbacks and enable transactions to close on time.
• Multi-tasker, highly organized, being able to work on a large number of contracts with numerous agents, buyers and sellers simultaneously under deadline pressure.
