Job description
Watts is a full service architecture and engineering (A/E) firm excelling in architecture, civil, environmental, transportation, structural engineering and construction monitoring services with offices in Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester and New York City.
We have a current opening in our Buffalo office for an Environmental Consultant/Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint and PCB sealants and prepare reports based on findings
- Occasional Project Monitoring may be required
- Mold Assessments
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to create abatement/remediation construction documents
- Prepare site-specific variance petitions
- Review submittals and provide clarifications during construction
Candidate shall:
- Be comfortable interpreting NYS ICR 56 and other applicable regulations
- Be dependable and able to work independently
- Have experience working with NYS agencies (DASNY, SUCF, OGS) is a plus
- Possess initiative to problem solve
- Be able available for short-duration overnight travel throughout New York State.
