Job Details for Entry Level Door Shop Associate:

• Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:00AM-3:30 PM 1st shift
• Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Job Responsibilities & Description for Entry Level Door Shop Associate:

• Prepping for assembly line, working on assembly line
• Will be assembling door head jambs Put door trim in machine and work machine using foot pedal
• Use a mallet to align pieces in machine Put a sticker on door after complete
• Put cardboard corners and strap band on doors after production completed
• Run automated router machine that cuts holes in doors for locks, door knobs, hinges etc. operated by foot pedal
• Put finished door on carts
• Use a nail gun for head jambs, nail 1 piece of wood to another
• Use a miter saw to cut pieces down to specific lengths after measured
• Chopping wood
• Quality inspection of product
• Prepare product to be shipped

• Work as a member of a team in support of a production operation with a goal-oriented mindset toward increasing productivity, decreasing downtime, and eliminating waste.
• Assume an active role in any/all of the facility's work.
• Follow all company/location safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain all shop areas, tools, machinery, and equipment per Lean/5S standards.
• Follow a production schedule.
• Maintain a consistent flow of information to shop Foreman.
• Identify lulls in production and shift support to teammates.
• Receive and carry out tasks and instruction issued by Foreman.
• Participate in continuously improving through Lean/5S.

Job Requirements for Entry Level Door Shop Associate:

• MUST be able to read a tape measure
• Must pass test Ideal background worked with nail gun, screw gun, miter saw, hand saw Metal worker
• Lifting up to 50 lbs

• 
  Strong and professional communication skills.
• Must be creative and confident in evaluating processes and offering solutions.
• Ability to maintain peer to peer relationships with a natural willingness to support the team.
• High school diploma
• Pass background check
• Basic knowledge of common hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Basic knowledge of fractions / can read a tape measure.
• Appropriate time management skills
• Production goals mindset
