What You'll Be Doing:

• Assisting the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload
• Working safely and following all safety policies
• Ensure that vehicles are supplied and kept in an orderly fashion, ready for duty, and care for equipment
• Operate basic surveying hand tools and equipment
• Train on the operation of robotic surveying instruments and GNSS receivers
• Outside work in all seasons
• Project assignments are not limited to woods, swamps, residential and commercial areas, construction sites, roads and highways, airports, and railways.
• Willingness to travel out-of-town travel and to other states is a plus but not required

What You Bring to the Table:

• Must have a High School Diploma
• Any surveying experience is a plus
• Math and earth sciences, geography experience along with computer skills
• Must pass a drug test
• Clean driving record for operating company vehicles

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
• Able to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours
• Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)
• Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
• Able to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds
