Responsibilities:
The
Entrance Screener will work
Per Diem
Various Shifts & Weekends and monitor temperature Stations, print the Visitor Log and have it available at the work station.
- Take and record temperatures according to policy/procedure for all visitors, support persons, employees and vendors.
- Log and submit all required screening information according to policy/procedure
- The Entrance Screener will notify unit that a visitor has arrived and confirm visitation is approved for patient.
- Register and track visitors at check-in and check-out making sure all visitors are informed of current visitation guidelines.
- The Entrance Screener will escort or arrange escort/transportation for visitors and/or patients as needed
- Monitor visitation and ensure visitors adhere to current time restrictions
- The Entrance Screener ensure appropriate PPE usage is offered to all visitors and support persons.
- Ensure appropriate PPE usage by all employees and vendors.
- Customer Service Greet all patients, visitors, support persons, employees and vendors cordially adhering to the GREAT method of customer service standards. (Greet, React, Expedite, Act, Thank)
- The Entrance Screener handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff and/or security.
- The Entrance Screener will present a professional and positive image reflecting Bassett Values for all who enter the building.
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. The New York State mandate allows for medical exemptions and religious accommodations, when appropriate. Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma OR equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
Licensure/Certificates:

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Ability to read a digital thermometer
