Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Employment Type: This is a full-time, seasonal position beginning immediately for the current 2022-2023 school year. At this time, this is projected to be a one-year seasonal position, with the possibility of extending into a permanent, full-time role after one year based on the organization's needs.

Salary: The salary range for this role is $47,000-$53,000 and is determined based on relevant professional experience.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Community Outreach

  • Assist Enrollment Manager with outreach and recruitment strategies to ensure annual application goals are met
  • Coordinate and facilitate enrollment and outreach events (Information Sessions, Family Tours and Shadow Days)
  • Coordinate Valor’s Ambassador program by identifying and training students, parents, and faculty members to promote and educate others about Valor
  • Present about Valor at events throughout the Nashville community
  • Represent Valor at recruitment opportunities (such as school fairs and community events) to maintain awareness and brand
  • Build and maintain community relationships with key organizations, schools, and businesses

Student Enrollment Support

  • Assist families in the online and in-person registration & application process
  • Work with campus Directors of Operations to ensure a successful registration process of incoming students and their families
  • Assist in communication with prospective families through Mailers, mass emails, robo calls and texting systems
  • Work with campus principals and Directors of Operations to ensure a successful onboarding of new families through the family orientation events
  • Coordinate multilingual communication arranging translation and interpretation services to ensure high quality service for our diverse family population
  • Conduct waitlist pulls & communicate with families to accept placement per managers request

Data Management

  • Oversee the data entry process for student applications and data analysis in Valor’s student management software systems (SmartChoice)
  • Assist with data reconciliation between Valor Collegiate and the district system (MNPS)
  • Collaborate with the district (MNPS) on the application and lottery process for incoming families

Event Management

  • Manage the logistics of scholar “Shadow Days” and communicate with teachers for daytime tour visits
  • Assist in the organization and execution of Community Tours
  • Assist in the organization of additional school events targeting prospective families, funders, and community partners

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Spanish, Kurdish, and/or Arabic fluency is strongly preferred
  • You possess strong oral communication and writing skills in English

  • You are comfortable with public speaking and community outreach activities
  • You have experience working with a diverse population of adults and children
  • You are highly skilled with using Google Suite
  • You are collaborative with colleagues, but comfortable working alone on data entry and analysis
  • You carry a friendly demeanor with a desire for building and maintaining relationships
