Lockheed Martin Corporation's Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) business is in search of a highly motivated staff level Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

In this position, the candidate is responsible for the engineering teams performance, including technical, cost and schedule, associated with an Acoustic Sensors Program in the C6ISR_Undersea Warfare (USW) line of business. This includes establishment of plans and milestones aligned with allocated budgets and schedules, identification and management of engineering related program risks and opportunities, and directly interfacing with executive management and the government customer Program Management. The EPM will review and approve product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent Engineering leadership experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Must have practical Engineering Design experience including development, testing, verification and operations support.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, capable of contributing to bids and proposal
  • Cost account management (CAM), or earned value measurement (EVM) experience
  • Experience balancing cost, schedule, and technical pressures
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain /maintain a Secret level security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Detailed engineering knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with electronic system design, test, and production.
  • Multi-domain/discipline experience to understand and provide guidance with regard to the systems, software, electrical, and mechanical aspects of a solutions
  • Ability to thrive in multitasking environment, supporting multiple programs simultaneously
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with DoD contracting activities and acquisition lifecycle
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
