What You’ll Get to Do:


CACI seeks a highly motivated Engineering Portfolio Manager to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) team. Our multi-disciplinary NSWCCD portfolio requires an experienced technical manager who understands complex requirements and can devise solutions to meet demanding customer needs. This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with customers, build relationships, and ensure CACI delivers the highest quality technical support within a cost constrained environment. Duties include resource management, financial management, and personnel management. A strong emphasis is placed on engineering services sales. It is envisioned that this role will grow into program management as skills and experience are gained.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Manage personnel, cost, and performance of a team of engineers and scientists delivering technical support and subject matter expertise to a variety of NSWCCD projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all required contract deliverables within portfolio.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers to ensure delivery of high-quality project support and identify new opportunities to grow support.
  • Closely track financials across all portfolio projects to ensure continuity of funding for entire team. Create accurate portfolio revenue forecasts. Conduct detailed analyses to identify root causes of financial issues and develop solutions.
  • Manage full time and part time resources across the portfolio to adjust to customer project capabilities requirements and funding profiles.
  • Support proposal development by leading and/or writing technical volumes.
  • Support new capture efforts by collecting and analyzing competitive intelligence, researching potential teaming partners, and providing input to capture briefs

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of classical engineering experience.

  • 1-3 years personnel management that includes technical roles, task management, and customer interfacing.

  • Experience managing projects, budgeting, and resource planning.

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or related field.

  • Background providing engineering services to the marine industry.

  • Experience leading or writing proposal technical sections.
