Job Description:

• An engineering professional who applies scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to a specific technical field or discipline.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Deliver on OpEx (Operational Excellence) projects and C.I (Continuous Improvement) mindset for the site. Plans and conducts small- to medium-size assigned projects within engineering specialty requiring conventional types of plans, investigations, and/or equipment.
• Provide leadership utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to develop and lead key business initiatives for continuous improvement, productivity, quality, and cost improvement projects.
• Drive change and process improvement initiatives and support management team with developing the business case to identify key improvement opportunities that are aligned with business priorities.
• Coordinates and monitors activities/projects.
• Reviews plans and monitors status of implementation for those assigned to project; makes judgments regarding quality of implementation within discipline; employs contingency plans to recover from schedule slippage and financial overruns when appropriate.
• Improves methods/designs/processes.
• Recognizes and implements good ideas/innovations/costs reductions; consistently generates/adopts original solutions to problems and reduces them to practices
• Liaise with the Global Operational Excellence Organization, benchmark with other sites and industries on Business Excellence initiatives.

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industral Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline is desired, or technical experience plus demonstrated competence.
• Proven experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment with 2+ years experience. Posesses a working technical knowledge and application of concepts and practices in pharmaceutical industry and/or packaging industry

• Has a technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries (preferred).

What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?

• Green Belt certification

Desired expereince in operational excellece strategy Hands-on expereince in applying lean manufacturing, 6-sigma, and advances planning and control methods is necessary ifor this role

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $29.45 - $33.00 per hour
