Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the RN, provides selected care for patients for Endoscopic procedures and assists with the preparation/processing of equipment and supplies.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the collection, recording, and reporting patient data in accordance with department standards. Prepares room and ensures area is ready to receive patient.
• Handles and prepares specimens obtained during the procedure in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Selects, assembles, tests and operates equipment and instruments in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
• Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred
