SUMMARY:

As an Employee Benefits Analyst you’ll be responsible for supporting the employee benefits function by providing a variety of services necessary to facilitate benefit enrollment, process changes, counsel/assist employees with benefit plan changes/decisions, processing benefit deductions including reporting and updating related information in the third-party administrator and HealthComp’s systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for benefit administration of all benefit plans offered by HealthComp

· Processing changes, updating records, coordinating changes with vendors, monitoring/reporting changes and answering routing questions

· Develop and maintain proficiency with benefits and payroll systems to ensure accurate coordination of transaction entries

· Maintain relationship with third party benefits vendors in order to successfully facilitate procurement process

· Reconcile benefit deductions for biweekly payroll processing

· Respond to inquiries from all plan participants regarding benefit enrollment, plan provisions, status changes and other general inquiries by answering calls/emails professionally and efficiently

· Ensure accuracy of personal and beneficiary information in the HRIS tool by performing quality checks of benefits related data

· Maintain pulse of all employer benefit related best practices and trends

· Provide innovative ideas and identify process improvements of internal procedures and policies

· Support open enrollment to include presentation creation, content delivery, communication plans and Q&A’s

· Oversee the HIPPA and COBRA administration for employees and maintain other aspects of benefit continuation of participants

· Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits to ensure HealthComp compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act

· Partner with leader to ensure all health, welfare, and retirement legal filings are completed and submitted in a timely manner

· Maintain strict confidentiality in respect to employee personal information and employee benefit information

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3-5 years proven work experience as an Employee Benefits Analyst preferably in a corporate setting

· Thorough understanding of state and federal regulations relating to benefit plans and applicable laws relating to benefit administration including; COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA and be able to effectively work within company policies and state/federal laws

· Familiarity with HR Databases, Applicant Tracking Systems and Candidate Management Systems

· Strong decision-making skills

· Sufficient depth of knowledge in employment law

· Excellent people skills and ability to build rapport with business partners, leadership, vendors and employees

· Proven ability to influence across a matrix of business constituents

· High degree of computer literacy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience

· 3-5 years of professional Employee Benefit Analyst experience preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
