Job Title: Embedded Controls Engineer

Location: Columbus, IN (HYBRID opportunity - Onsite work 2- 3 times/month.)

VOLT is immediately hiring for an Embedded Controls Engineer to work onsite at our client, located in Columbus, IN. This is a hybrid opportunity where you will only be needed onsite a few times per month. Our client prefers you live within one hour of Columbus.

With this role, you will design and develop aftertreatment controls and on-board diagnostics features to support various controls architectures using MATLAB/Simulink and simulation tools. You will serve as the software component owner for specific components and newly created components for the program. In addition, you will:

• Support concept design review and implementation reviews for the software components owned
• Support SIL, HIL, bench testing and troubleshooting test cell/field issues with respect to control features
• Support stakeholders from cross functional teams with controls software feature and requirements discussions/ questions
• Support controls architecture and feature development and work with global team members
• Support and troubleshoot software issues in the control’s software and fix software defects

Job Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of related experience
• MATLAB/Simulink experience
• Experience with SIL and HIL testing
