Our client in Plymouth Michigan is seeking a Electronics Buyer to join their development group within the automotive lighting industry. This company is rapidly expanding and excited to be on the forefront of innovation. They currently work about 60% rear lighting and 40% forward lighting with a heavy focus on forward lighting. The ideal candidate will hold excellent negotiation and inter-Personal skills and have the ability to understand technical aspects of the components / materials in their portfolio.

responsibilities:

• Ability to maintain an approved supply base
• Preparation of RFQ packages.
• Analysis of supplier quotations.
• Recommend sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery and financial stability.
• Negotiation of all commercial aspects of material / component, indirect and services purchases.
• Drive supplier cost savings through on-going negotiations.
• Support program launches through participation in the PDP process.
• Maintain purchasing records, process internal eRequisitions and issue Purchase Orders as required.
