Electro-Mechanical Technician

NDI Engineering Company is seeking Electro-Mechanical Technicians to join our team in South Jersey and assist with supporting the US Navy.

The ideal candidate will have some experience reading and understanding engineering drawings with the ability to organize and manage the ordering of electro-mechanical parts. Adherence to written policies and work instructions is a must.

Discipline to create, manage and update spreadsheets with progress on ordering and receiving parts.

A willingness to learn and collaborate in high-involvement work team environment under the supervision of lead engineers.

Job Responsibilities

Technical parts purchasing (approximately 80% of time) – will be assigned to use engineering drawings to order parts and coordinate the receiving and organizing of those parts for customer delivery.

Receive, inspect and track vendor parts and complete required documentation.

Technician (approximately 20% of time) – work with engineers and technicians to test/evaluate and document prototype structures in a shop environment to written test procedures. Participate in completing data sheets with test results and in the creation of test reports.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.

High School diploma, Technical School Certificate desired by not required.

This work is NOT remote. Working in the Thorofare, NJ is required.

Good verbal and written communications skills along with ability to implement feedback from engineers, follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.

Exposure to online part ordering and researching how to find the best value (price and delivery) from distributors.

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
