**POSITION SUMMARY

**

Maintain and install plant electrical system including substations, branch circuits, conduit, wire, electrical equipment, controls, and motors under the direction of a licensed electrician

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

**

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance to plant electrical equipment.

• Installation and repair of branch circuits and bus bar circuits.

• Installation and repair of conduit up to 4 inch and wire up to 500 MCM.

• Install and repair telephone system.

• Ensure plant meets Wisconsin electrical codes.

• Installation and repair of substations and main circuit disconnect or breaker.

• Assist in annual electrical inspection.

• Determines material specifications and requisitions supplies as needed.

• Provides direction and training for less skilled personnel.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

**WORKING CONDITIONS

**

Works near high voltage. Exposed to seasonal heat and cold, dirt, grease, noise, hot metal, ladder/ scaffolding/ roof/ elevated work areas, awkward positions, and heavy lifting.

**QUALIFICATIONS

**

• High school Diploma or Equivalent.

• Must possess a State of Wisconsin Journeyman Certificate.

• Must possess current State of Wisconsin Electrical License (Journeyman or Master)

• Good working knowledge of applicable Wisconsin codes.

• Good working knowledge of applicable MKC systems is strongly preferable.
