Journeyman Electrician

Badger State Electric, a local, family-owned residential and commercial electric company, is seeking a full-time Journeyman Electrician. Benefits include, competitive pay, retirement plan, paid weekly, paid holidays, flexible work schedule, no on-call, family-friendly work environment.

This position will complete standard residential and commercial electrical work including:

• Work directly with customers to determine project scope
• Bend and install rigid and EMT conduit
• Set up and pull wire and cable
• Terminate power, control, and instrumental wire and cable
• Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices
• Install and troubleshoot PLC’s, AC and DC devices
• Read/comprehend tape measure, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instruction, formulas, and processing charts

Qualifications include a current State of WI Journeyman license, 1-4 years residential and/or commercial experience, ability to use standard electrical diagnostic equipment and tools associated, knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety standards, able to work independently, strong customer service communication skills, excellent time management skills and trustworthy.

Physical Qualifications: Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds independently, work from various heights via platforms, scaffolding, ladders or man-lifts, operate and work near various power equipment, requires standing for extended periods of time, reaching, walking, stooping, must have valid driver’s license, and ability to work in many types of outdoor and indoor environments.
