Position Purpose

The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for performing electrical tasks on packaging lines, palletizing and shipping automation equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

1. Wire equipment as instructed.

2. Assembly of Electrical or Mechanical assemblies as instructed.

3. Bend and route conduit as instructed. Assembly various conveyor assemblies as instructed.

4. Maintain all 5S standards.

5. Periodic travel may be required.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

(Knowledge, Skills & Abilities, Education & Experience)

Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience in an electrical controls manufacturing/production environment required . However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Ability to interpret and understand any and all electrical and mechanical drawings required, regardless of complexity.

Knowledge in electrical controls wiring preferred.

Experience in layouts and function of electrical control cabinets required.

Experience in industrial automation preferred.

Experience in conduit bending.

Ability to use power tools, ex. drills, saws, grinders and cutting wheels.

Basic computer skills required to open drawings and 3D models.

Demonstrated ability follow instruction, make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment and flexibility in effort maintain schedule.

High dedication to details and quality required.

Good communication-, organization-, and interpersonal skills required.

High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs.

Applicants must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills and be able to interact efficiently with others.
