Description:

Electric Power Constructors, Inc. is a unique company offering a wide range of expertise in areas of power system construction such as power plants, substations, control systems, street lighting, industrial and large commercial power systems, motor controls, power and lighting as well as periodic testing and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage equipment.

Responsibilities:

This person will be responsible for the supervision, manning, estimating and construction supervision of all Inside electrical projects involving construction, maintenance, or testing. The position will supervise the existing electrician manager/estimator, electrical foreman as well as substation technicians. The position will be responsible for material take off and bid development with various spread sheets and estimation software. This position will be responsible for managing large projects completed under the Inside wiremen section. Applicant must have a strong emphasis on power systems, commercial and industrial electrical to include reciprocating engines and turbine power houses, utility and commercial substations, water treatment facilities, bulk fuel farms, and pump stations. Persons applying for this position must have a good base knowledge of general construction to include, civil, structural and mechanical. This person will be working with both internally developed bid packages as well as publicly bid projects. The person must be familiar with design/build project development and understand the requirements for performance-based specifications in developing design/build project bids. The person must be able to work with department managers and engineers to develop construction estimates, ROM engineer estimates and complete bid packages / proposals. Applicant must be a team player and a motivated self-starter, able to adapt to change in process quickly, work well under critical deadline pressure and respond to requests expediently.

Requirements:

A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required. Attention to detailed is a must in this position. We are seeking a team player, self-starter and a well-organized person who is willing to work in a fast paced environment.

Individual must be proficient in preparation of bid proposals, have management and supervisory experience and be proficient in computers and cost estimating and project management software and techniques.
