Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, a global leading manufacture of performance fabrics, is currently seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician 1st Grade. Candidate must possess excellent electrical troubleshooting skills as well as a good knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive assemblies. They must have a working knowledge of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, and power distribution equipment. The successful candidate must have demonstrated the skills and traits listed below with at least 5 years of troubleshooting work history or Associates degree with 2 years of experience.

  • Safe work history & enthusiasm for safe work practices
  • Troubleshooting AC/DC drives & controls
  • PLC Troubleshooting
  • PC skills to run troubleshooting software
  • Troubleshooting relay logic heating & cooling equipment
  • Proficiency at reading blueprints, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers’ schematics.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic hydraulics & pneumatics.
  • Time Management Skills
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Teamwork
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that includes off-shifts and weekends
  • (Available job on night shift)
  • Self- starter needing minimal direction

Electro/Mechanical Technician candidates are typically assessed for Observation, Locating Information, and Reading for Information skills. Various physical assessments may be required to ensure that the candidate can safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

** The hours for this job are, 7pm-7am, working on a NON-ROTATING 2-2-3 Schedule at a pay rate of $25.92 per hour ** (Eligible for Pay for Skills, depending on education, experience, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic problem-solving skills throughout your shift
  • Setup and operate the creel machine to company standards
  • Review and interpret machine efficiency data throughout your shift
  • Complete quality paperwork

Experience:

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous machine operating experience preferred
