The Electrical / Assembler Technician assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy sub-assemblies and complete units. Test and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units. Wires electrical panels and machinery per electrical schematics. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Manual machine setup and operation of drill press, sheet metal shear, and grinders required to process assemblies. Ability to work overtime to meet production schedule as needed. Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk 95% of the day.
Requires a working knowledge of precision electrical assembly techniques as well as basic mechanical principals. Must have the ability to use measuring devices, hand and power tools, arbor press and drill press. Must have the ability to read assembly drawings, a working knowledge of metric system required and basic computer skills required
