About the role

The Electrical Instrumentation Technician is responsible for defined maintenance activities in the Production/Site.

What you will do

The role maintains the production machinery and facilities infastructure based on preventive and predictive maintenance concept.

Acquire and Maintain technical knowledge related to current electrical equipment and processes, including, but not limited to; PLC's, DCS's, 480v and 4160v operations and related switchgear,

It is responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and solving these problems using the DDS approach & Root cause analysis.

The technician supports and coaches the Operators / Colleagues in handling technical issues in the RST (Resource Support Team) and Site.

Trains and develops training for apprentices

This position will be initially assigned to straight 8 hour day shifts with daily overtime opportunities, and is paid a base rate of $37.22/hour. A successful candidate will have opportunities for 12 hour day shift and 12 hour night shift, straight 4 on/4 off schedule assignment and is paid up to $4/hour more accordingly.

Who you are

Skilled craftsman, detail oriented and self starter who can communicate effectively with all levels of operations.

Possess a completed Journeyman Electrical Instrumentation Card

or:

Industrial Electrician with significant PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience along with instrumentation knowledge

Experience in Paper Manufacturing or related medium-industrial environment preferred.
