Pod Foods is a disruptive food-tech startup focused on the B2B food supply chain. We are based in Texas, with operations in multiple cities across the country including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Our vision is to create a food distribution marketplace driven by data and technology so that grocery stores will better meet their consumers' preferences, replacing mass-market inventory with the products that consumers want.

We are looking for a part time EDI Engineer who will own technical engagements and drive the ultimate success of partner projects. This engineer will connect with key partners and drive discussions with senior technical leaders in those organizations. This engineer will use strategic thinking for product, business, and technical challenges. The engineer will map the intersection of partner needs and company priorities.This hire will need excellent customer communication skills as well as the technical background to interact and provide guidance to partners and team members.

Job Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert related to EDI and other B2B technologies.
• Works cross functionally to review and document current state processes, review proposed solutions and offer alternatives to rectify gaps and pain points
• Validates solutions built by other team members and offer guidance on the implementation of best practices
• Supports the creation and maintenance of process documentation for smoother hyper care and Ops transitions
• Mentor, coach and assist with providing training to other resources in the EDI / B2B space
• Conduct research and recommend changes in services and products, protocols and standards to support development efforts
• Work cross-functionally to understand business requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the job

Education/Certification

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with EDI implementation and maintenance. Specifically, working with integration development tools for EDI mapping and business process modeling
• 7+ years of experience with EDI communications (Direct, VAN, AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS)
• 7+ years of demonstrable experience with EDI preferably developing and supporting X12 maps (850, 855, 856, 810, 812, 879, 889 etc.)
• Demonstrated EDI configuration experience, including partner profile setup and business process modeling
• Advanced experience EDI inbound and outbound interface functionality and developing and supporting interfaces for different business processes
• Strong functional knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12
• Strong experience in manufacturing and distribution environment

Salary is based on experience and location, we expect this role to be $50 - $65/hour and be about 20 - 25 hours a week.
