NMC is currently recruiting for an ED Tech in the Emergency Department. This position is a per diem (variable hours) position, hours could be 7a-3p, 3p-11p or 11p-7a, weekends as well.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department Technician plans and implements assigned patient care in collaboration with the Nursing staff in the department. The ED Technicians provides direct patient care for patients of all age groups and under a wide variety of circumstances, documents patient information.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Must have a current VT LNA license or EMT Certification.
Other: The Emergency Department/Intermediate Care Technician must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Identifies each patients age specific needs and provide the care needed by the pediatric, adolescent, and/or geriatric patient group.
Certifications: BLS required.
