This role is part of the Customer Experience Strategy & Activation team of the CE&E, IMI organization - a team of innovative, passionate talent focused at designing and deploying personalized and outcome-oriented customer experiences grounded in deep insights and human-centered design.

As Executive Director, Creative Strategy, you will lead and partner with agencies of record across brands and therapeutic areas to define the creative expression of brand and disease awareness content assets. This role is a critical creative management function that upgrades our ability to deliver on the ‘how’ that captures a differentiating expression of core content assets across the sales force, web, congresses, media and patient support platforms. Experience in providing strategic inputs that inform the creative process is an essential element of the job combined with the ability to understand the clinical context and know ‘what good looks like’ in order to set high standards for agencies to deliver on.

Major responsibilities:

Develop strategy briefs and engage with agency teams including creative functions to shape the output.

Knowledgeable in emerging creative / storytelling trends, formats and specifications

Work on a wide array of brand or product challenges and engagement needs, able to translate strategic objectives into creative tactical choices that maximize customer impact.

Define best practices in creative briefing and agency management in partnership with country leads.

Act as expert on creative strategy design process to upskill and coach marketing colleagues globally.

Provide direction on optimum set-up, processes and practices for agency capability management across creative deliverables, across traditional and emerging marketing channels and platforms.

Engage and mentor and partner with design leads across the business to define strategic inputs for content and experience design.

The ideal location for this role is the East Hanover, NJ or New York City Hub Office but remote work may be possible (there may be some exceptions based on legal entity registration). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific site for periodic live meetings will be at the employee’s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $233,600.00 and $350,400.00 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

10+ years in creative strategy leadership role at an organization with responsibility over delivery of creative assets and leading agency management

Deep understanding of agency working model across creative and media.

Experience in leading teams from a strategy perspective through the development and of web, sales force, conventions/physical installations that served as strategic brand differentiators.

Track record for delivering high-quality marketing assets at a high level of refinement and ideally across global audiences.

Fluent understanding of the regulatory and privacy environment in marketing to HCPs and patients

Desirable Requirements:

Excellent collaboration skills; avoid silos, across channels.

Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities, able to communicate and articulate solutions, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Ability to navigate ambiguity, driving towards simple solutions to complex problems with a keen understanding and appreciation of user experience.
