We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with experience teaching 18 months to 3 years old to provide the foundation for early educational success. As an Early Childhood Teacher , you have the important task of building the foundation for children’s future school experiences. Qualifications needed to be successful as a toddler teacher include knowledge of child development and developing social-emotional skills, as well as preschool educational strategies that keep students actively engaged.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing, arranging, and maintaining a positive learning environment for students age 18 months up to 3 years old.
• Develop a classroom schedule that incorporates all required curriculum
• Demonstrate the ability to use transitions, songs, fingerplays, etc. to develop a strong classroom routine
• Develop strong classroom management skills and the ability to promote both independent and whole group learning activities
• Use a variety of educational strategies to engage students in the learning process including, but not limited to storytelling, play, music and movement)
• Mediate student interactions and help students develop self-regulation skills
• Plan and implement center-wide curriculum
• Supervise students throughout the day and ensure safety and security of all students at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly through written and verbal communication
• Document daily activities through the parent engagement app
• Build partnerships with families in order to promote school success
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

SKILLS

• Proven experience as a Toddler Teacher
• Proven experience with potty training
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Energetic and welcoming attitude and personality
• Reliable and Dependable with reliable transportation
• Availability to work between the hours of 630am and 545pm
• CDA or higher-level degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or similar field

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 6 months of verifiable classroom experience
• HS Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Must be willing to earn CDA within 6 months of hire date
