OVERVIEW
Full-time/Permanent Employee
Location: Remote

The business development associate will be responsible for managing the various Business Development (BD) processes, activities, and systems.

The candidate will use tools such as GovWin, Ebuy.gov, SAM.gov, and DACIS to identify business development opportunities.

The proposed salary range for this position is $38,500 - $45,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

    • Build and completing out capability matrices for potential partnership opportunities
    • Build and interpret reports and analysis related to the BD pipeline status on cadence
    • Become a UNANET CRM SME able to create complex workflows and dashboards for overall successful BD management effectiveness
    • Managing all BD tasks in the UNANET CRM
    • Conduct reach-outs to potential customers and partners by setting up meetings, executing calendar deconfliction, sharing capabilities and engaging as required to promote BD opportunities
    • Manage all conference scheduling and registrations for the BD team
    • Conduct front end BD pipeline opportunity orchestration by identifying and conducting initial qualification activity via GSA Ebuy, Deltek’s GovWin and as needed
    • Conduct competitor analysis for federal solicitations

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    • Years of Experience: 2+ (see below)
    • Education: Associate degree in communications, economics, business, or similar field; or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of business development, capture, acquisition, or contracting experience in the defense or federal civilian market
    • Able to manage complex processes and pipelines actions and activities
    • Able to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in written correspondence
    • Familiarity with the structure of the DoD/Federal Government
    • Soft Skills: open-minded, coachable, resilient, takes initiative, humble

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with UNANET CRM, GovWin, eBuy.gov, SAM.gov, DACIS
    • Familiarity with the Shipley Model of capturing government business
    • Familiarity with Agile workflow principles

KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA)

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work independently and remotely
    • Ability to communicate clearly in the English language, both written and verbal
