General Description of the Role

The E-commerce Manager is responsible for driving E-commerce performance against the strategy for Campari America, to deliver profitable value and share growth, and building a strong digital shelf at scale.


The position will work directly with Campari America’s Brand Marketing, Sales, and Channel & Customer Marketing (CCM) teams to ensure the online programs are in line with Brand and E-commerce channel Strategy.


Mission/Objectives

This role is instrumental to the development and execution of a successful E-commerce strategy for Campari America. The role will enable increased volume, value, and share growth through the development and expansion of effective partnerships and creative/experience deployment online.


Key Responsibilities and Activities

E-COMMERCE STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION

  • Develops and manages deployment of the E-commerce market strategy across marketplaces and emerging partners
  • Supports all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting
  • Analyzes various data sets across partners, channels, media, and first party in order to provide insight driven recommendations to optimize performance and achieve Kepis
  • Navigates complex organizational structure and connect with multiple stakeholders from CCM, brand marketing, media, sales, etc. to execute integrated E-commerce plans
  • Provides ongoing analysis for digital shelf performance management and improvement including product assortment and stock management
  • Collaborates with E-commerce Specialist on best-in-class content and cultural calendar alignment, oversee partner website uploads and landing pages development
  • Own day-to-day relationships with agency partners to drive timely and effective delivery of programs
  • Manages budget and calendar in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Proactively seeks out new opportunities, researches market to discover new trends and technologies to improve Campari’s position in marketplace
  • Works closely with agencies and distributors to develop sub-channel specific and category development solutions for Digital Shelf
  • Coordinates with the CCM counterparts, to brief on program execution and leverage ideas and resources

Internal: Channel & Customer Marketing, US Brand Marketing, Sales and Field Activation Team, Legal, Finance, Global Customer Marketing, Global Digital

External: E-commerce customers & platforms, Agencies, Distributor partner, Media Planning & Buying partners


Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in E-commerce, CPG/Bev Alcohol Brand Marketing or National Accounts Off Premise/E-commerce, spirits background experience preferred.
  • Experience in managing external agencies a plus
  • Previous experience managing marketing and/or tech teams preferred along with an understanding of data that translates into strong analytical skills
  • Understanding and experience in, UX, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Data dashboards along with e-comm analytical and shelf management tools (Edge, Salsify)
  • Performance marketing experience with an understanding of how to leverage marketing tactics to target shoppers throughout the funnel to drive conversion
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels such as SEM, SEO, Social Media, Display, Website management, and affiliate marketing channels, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis and reporting tools

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required, Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication and Media preferred

  • A demonstrated capability of strong program marketing skills with an ability to turn quantitative insights into creative programs that drive profitable growth
  • Strong relationship skills with ability to influence and work with others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed
  • Problem-solving capabilities with ability to find solutions to complex problems, especially in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines
  • Excellent knowledge of E-commerce growth triggers
  • Experience working with E-commerce customers

  • Strong in data analytics and data mining, creating fact-based stories to deliver action

  • Experience with digital and social media channels and reporting, as well as social listening
