Job Summary:

The Dump Truck Operator will be responsible for driving commercial vehicles to transport materials to and from construction sites in a safe and efficient manner. This will require the operator to be knowledgeable of all applicable DOT rules and regulations, and all job-related Company, Local, State and Federal requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Minimum 3 years’ experience with dump truck operation

· Prior loading experience using mechanical loaders

· Ability to handle unexpected situations, i.e. traffic, weather conditions, etc.

· Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as constructions zones is required.

· Must be willing to perform construction labor which includes, but is not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment / objects / materials.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must have a valid CDL A with a DOT Physical Examination Card and a clean driver’s record.

· Advanced knowledge of construction and / or construction equipment preferred.

Education and Experience:

· OSHA 10 safety certification is required. If applicant does not hold this certification, Ironwood Heavy Highway will provide training for the applicant. Certification is the property of the applicant.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.

· Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.

· Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.

· Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.

Candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which includes MVR history and a drug and alcohol test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
