Job description

Job prep department prepares jobs for manufacturing. The individual has contact with the project managers and customers to design and develop plans for fabrication. Auto Cad / Auto Cad 3D,

Solid Works and Microsoft Excel are needed to prepare documents for the shop to follow.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work as a team, problem solve, share new ideas and old solutions.
• Verify all paperwork required to complete a job.
• Create customers design/approval drawings.
• Material and hardware stock requisitioning.
• Develop flat layouts.
• Create cut lists for the shear, laser, saw and plasma.
• Supply instructions for fabrication, weld and polish. Extensive knowledge in design requirements for food, sanitary and pharmaceutical applications is required.
• Create / review engineering change orders.
• Problem solver.
• Develop as built drawings and BOM

Education and Experience

• Strong math aptitude.
• Sheet metal knowledge
• Blue print reading with the ability to recognize / resolve design flaws as well as visualize
• complicated assemblies.
• Working knowledge of Auto Cad, Microsoft Excel and Solidworks
• Knowledge of material types and finishes
• Understanding of fabrication, welding and polishing methods
