Los Gatos Dog & Cat Hospital’s doggy daycare is seeking a new, part-time staff member to join our team. This is an exciting position working with a small group of coworkers and an amazing group of dogs. We are looking for someone to work M-Th 8-12:30 and Fri. 12:30-5:00.
Your job will include: supervision of dogs on the play floor, cleaning up messes, changing water bowls, basic cleaning of the facility, as well as basic receptionist duties, such as: answering phones, taking messages, taking payments, entering invoices, and more. We also like to have fun! We regularly throw special “theme weeks” for the dogs and owners to add some excitement to daycare. The staff here must have fun and be creative!
Working with dogs is a fun and rewarding experience, but the job isn’t always easy. You need to be able to multi-task and handle yourself well in a room with 20+ dogs.
Requirements:
- Love dogs!
- Excel in Customer Service
- Good Communication skills with both clients and co-workers
- Work well under pressure

- Work well as a team
- Be reliable
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with dogs professionally (not just your own)
- Be familiar with a variety of dog breeds
- Understand dog behavior and body language
Our hours of operation are 8AM to 5PM, closed holidays and weekends.
