The UHS Corporate Compliance Department is hiring a Division Compliance Officer - BH to manage oversight of the Division of Behavioral Health (BH) compliance under the direction of the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee the BH audits and monitoring matters as assigned
  • Respond to issues involving healthcare fraud waste and abuse laws, general billing, coding and reimbursement, physician compensation compliance, conflicts of interest and quality and patient care matters arising from the BH Division

  • Develop new policies and update existing policies. Develop and present compliance trainings to the BH Division healthcare operations
  • Support the Compliance Audit and Monitoring program team, the compliance hotline and investigations team as it relates to the BH Division
  • Provide guidance to the field on on a daily basis
  • Assist in preparing periodic field, Committee and Board reports and analyses


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years' experience in healthcare compliance.
  • Candidate should have strong understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance generally and including but not limited to fraud waste and abuse laws, patient care and quality assurance, general knowledge of billing and coding requirements and physician compensation issues, conflicts of interest and general healthcare compliance matters

  • Candidate should be self-motivated, organized and able to function successfully in fast-paced, high volume work environment in publicly traded, Fortune 300 healthcare company
  • Candidate shall possess appropriate professional demeanor, be able to produce high quality written work product and reporting for senior level executives and be comfortable communicating regularly with
    senior level healthcare executives
  • Minimal travel up to 5-10%
