Sells construction machinery such as; concrete and mortar mixers, power trowels, screeds, concrete vibrators, soil and asphalt compaction equipment, pumps, water trailers, generators, light towers, welders, concrete and masonry saws, tile saws, diamond blades and related products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
  • Establishes selling, servicing and rental dealers in all markets to achieve high market penetration through development of all appropriate companies and major contractors in assigned territory
  • Becomes familiar with all construction activities and major contractors in assigned territory
  • Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers at the dealer location or communicates by phone, text or email
  • Works closely with Regional Sales Director in communicating all active negotiations
  • Provides the company competitive information within the assigned territory
  • Develops a working knowledge of the competition and their sales strategies
  • Recommends specific standard or modified machines best suited for customer’s use and promotes the value of Multiquip equipment ownership
  • Demonstrates operation and illustrates the features and benefits of machinery at customer work site
  • Sells machine, parts, maintenance and repair services
  • Delivers complete price quotes using Customer360 along with credit and freight terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules. Assists with the delivery of field stock when necessary and provides signed delivery documents
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. Enter complete and accurate sales orders for all products sold
  • Provides correct customer data and other sales data for current and prospective customers for entry into computer database
  • Develops and maintains relationships with all key contacts at each customer location
  • Investigates and resolves all customer problems
  • Attends trade shows and assists with the set-up and removal of displays
  • Responsible for maintenance of company vehicle and consigned equipment issued. Responsible for promptly updating consignment reports using the company’s intranet website
  • Responsible for using good judgment when entertaining customers, completing expense accounts and timely submission of expense verification / reports
  • Responsible for keeping product literature current along with price sheets to assist in updating dealer manuals and/or database
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications:
  • 2 - 3 years of Sales Experience in a B2B industry
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to schedule time effectively.
  • Abitlity to create and maintain strong relationship.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time in assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary range of $60,000-$65,000 a year + Commission
  • Company Vehicle will be provided.
