Position Summary:

As the District Sales Manager, you will drive a professionally directed sales strategy aimed at creating new sales promotions to generate leads and closing net-new commercial customers; while also focusing on an existing customer base for retention and expansion. You will collaborate with cross functioning partners to ensure sales growth and customer success with use of product and/or service. You must maintain a deep knowledge of the industry, product, and competitors in the market.

This is a working manager role with most of your workday spent outdoors. The majority of your time will be spent on site working alongside your sales team, providing supervision, coaching and development opportunities for your sales team.

Salary: $58,000-64,000 base salary depending on experience plus monthly performance bonus

Expectations: This position works with our membership sales teams on site at each location. This individual will be responsible for coaching the team on upselling techniques and having the ability to be persuasive within a very short timeframe when pitching customers the value of purchasing an unlimited monthly wash plan.

Travel: Local travel across Greater Maricopa County (approximately 5-10 locations) will cover mileage expenses

Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

Supervisory

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains sales staff and service advisors in the department.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department including staffing and scheduling sales staff for each location.
  • Provides leadership and training to the sales team.
  • Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees and in accordance with company policy.
  • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Review customer satisfaction, social media reviews, and mystery shopper reports to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Performs other related duties as needed

Sales

  • Attainment of organizations new business sales quota and revenue goals.
  • Identify and close new business opportunities – manage a strategic sales process from lead to contract negotiation to close new sales.
  • Coordinate with sales team to upsell new products to existing customers.
  • Partner with store locations to promote new products and sales promotions.
  • Assist with market, competitor, and industry trends research to support corporate and sales goal attainment.
  • Accountable for securing customer renewals and all continued revenue generating activity for assigned customers.
  • Uncover and develop customer needs as well as related value propositions.
  • Drive customer success and adoption with contracted solutions, including understanding customer organization and business needs, and building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Builds and maintains effective professional relationships with prospects, customers, and staff.
  • Support the Sales Director and General Manager of Sales to create and maintain commercial sales program.
  • Effectively and timely communicates customer concerns to internal management, including product development/enhancement needs, service issues and contractual/renewal risk and concerns.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Some college, Associate degree or higher preferred
  • At least five years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Long-range planning preferred
  • Ability to travel to site locations within region

Requires the ability to interact with others, interpret spoken messages and utilize reason to resolve complex problems. Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds.
