POSITION SUMMARY:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates equipment to clear brush and transport material.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment, as necessary.
• Maneuver equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Represent the Company in an ethical and proper manner.
• Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision by consistently showing ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
• Recognize and perform duties which need to be completed although not directly assigned.
• Work well, and maintain cooperative working relationships, with the managers, employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers
• Operate equipment on public roadways if needed and maintain proper awareness of ones surroundings.
• Consistently show ability to recognize and deal with multiple priorities; Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle stressful or difficult situations.
• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and within policy guidelines.
• Be dependable, report to work on time, and provide proper notification of whereabouts when absence from work is unavoidable.
• Attend webinars/seminars/training to update and improve position knowledge for him/herself and the company in relation to the position or tasks required to perform the job successfully.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
• Perform all other duties as requested or assigned and as business operations and conditions require.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 3 years’ experience operating skid steer is preferred.
• Knowledge of skid steer operation as well as an understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
