Position Purpose:

Responsible for measuring, implementing, training and deploying dispatch operating plans within assigned Regions, Districts and Facilities for all field Dispatcher - Improvement initiatives, as assigned and dictated by business need. The DA Sr will be a Subject Matter Expert in all routing protocols. This is a work from home remote position with a small amount of travel on the East coast.

Key Job Activities:

Dispatch Support:
Supports the field Dispatch group within assigned territories and ensure that all projects and initiatives are planned and delivered to the outcomes. This includes:

• Managing a central depository of different templates and tools that are approved for effective routing duties.
• Ensure compliance with field transportation initiatives, captures, and tracks their specific financial impact/Strategic value contributions.
• Provide the roll up of our executive reporting tools and ensure they are delivered on-time and accurate.
• Effectively manage and maintain reports and dashboards for the Dispatchers and escalate opportunities as needed.
• Implement and monitor KPI’s for Dispatcher performance.
• Develop, manage and communicate needs where there are cross functional dependencies.
• Provide hands on trainings, coaching, and support to field Dispatchers by being a Subject Matter Expert on all routing areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for tracking KPI’s by utilizing trend reports and other key reports shared by our data analytics team.

Planning:

• Lead the coordination to define the requirements and scope for Dispatching responsibilities.
• Schedule tasks, deadlines, and key milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Looks for ways to mitigate resource constraints and other risks, associated with the timeline.

Reporting:

• Meets with business sponsors on a regular basis to communicate progress and discuss issues.
• Resolves issues with the appropriate level of management.
• Effectively manages “scope creep” by building consensus about the necessity to change the original project plan.

Goals:

• Meets Industrial Engineering and Organizational goals
• Partner with Leaders to roll out centralized routing protocols globally
• Other related duties as required or requested.

Education:

Experience (North America):

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience. BS in a Transportation, logistics or business related field a plus.
• One or more years of progressive waste or equivalent industry experience in a routing capacity. Demonstrates the ability to manage people in a transportation environment.
• Demonstrates the ability to provide safe and regulatory compliant work conditions for all Team Members. Past experience utilizing Roadnet Logistics Suite/Descartes or equivalent routing software required.
• Demonstrates knowledge and the ability to stay abreast of applicable regulations and codes, as they apply to the waste industry and those specific to area of responsibility.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must be able to input, monitor and manipulate data within these applications. Must have routing capability and/or direct past experience.
• Past experience utilizing Roadnet Logistics Suite/Descartes or equivalent routing software preferred.
