The Auburn University College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment seeks applications for the position of Director of Student Services to serve as a liaision between students and a variety of University offices, including Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Admissions, Registrar, and Career Services.

  • Recruit a diverse, high-quality student body
  • Coordinate student advising
  • Participate in student information and orientation programs
  • Manage academic records and develop reports
  • Coordinate interviews with employers
  • May teach undergraduate courses related to improving student success.
  • May supervise one or more staff members and student workers.

Minimum Education and Experience

Education Level
Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Management, Communications, Higher Education Leadership, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. The successful candidate must project the personal enthusiasm, commitment, and empathy required to serve as the school’s recruitment coordinator, adviser, and primary student contact. Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills are required, as is the ability to operate effectively in an office with multiple and competing demands.

Desired qualifications include experience leading a student-related program office, including staff and student supervision; knowledge of Advise Assist, Banner, DegreeWorks and Canvas; and knowledge of natural resources fields and educational requirements therein.
