Job Description
As the Training Director for the POS Lending product at U.S. Bank, this individual will lead the education efforts across the Sales and Operations business lines for all features of the POS Lending product as well as engage with our Banking division business lines to create an ongoing education and awareness effort.
This includes but is not limited to developing content, hosting interactive training sessions for a variety of audiences, working in parallel with U.S. Bank and Elavon Learning & Development and Education & Engagement business lines to ensure cohesive messaging is distributed. Supports the effort of the Sales/Ops Change Management leader to conduct gap analysis, identify process improvement opportunities by analyzing seller/merchant adoption and issues and proactively bridges knowledge gaps.
This role will also function as the SME and go-to leader for the POS Lending Direct Sales channel (which would potentially be independent of Elavon acquiring); have knowledge and ability to convey and train POS Lending sellers on Elavon products as well.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality training and development program; develops and maintains a resource training and development library; Regularly interfaces with business line management and participates in project task forces to identify training needs and ensure the effective implementation, communication, administration and assessment of POS Lending training programs, pilots, launches. Responsible for ensuring all training SLA’s are met; handle all monthly and quarterly reporting and training related issues/topics. Candidate must have demonstrated success developing sales and technical sales training material and tailoring material to address audience and regional needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant training experience within the payment processing industry
- BNPL or POS Lending experience preferred but, not required
- Expansive knowledge of the payment processing industry, from the basics of credit card transactions to complexities of statement analysis and pricing models/proposals
- Thorough knowledge of the design, delivery, administration and evaluation of training and development programs
- Strong background on leading and training others in sales success
- Comfortable in speaking to all levels of a sales organization
- Carries an open, honest, and empathetic manner when dealing with people
- Effective consultative, project management, analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
