A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Manage the Structural Engineering department in Indianapolis
- Communicate with our internal and external teammates and clients
- Prepare preliminary designs for design/build proposals
- Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
- Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
- Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal and construction
- Review and coordinate construction document content with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate agreement
- Review shop drawings to confirm compliance with the design drawings and project intent
BS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with experience related to the construction industry- 5-15 years of experience related to the construction industry
- Ability to prepare structural designs for deep and shallow foundations, steel, concrete, masonry. Light gauge design experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as Revit, Autocad, and RAM
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
- Professional Engineer licensure required (PE)
