Job Description
The Director of Stadium Operations is responsible for overseeing all facility and operational aspects of the ballpark. Primary scope will include, but not be limited to, cultivating a preventative structural and aesthetic maintenance plan for the Stadium, the managing and hiring of operations staff and optimizing event flows to achieve a league-leading fan experience.
Skills Needed or Preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays. Schedule highly dictated by event load
  • Demonstrate an ability to motivate, manage and delegate to staff
  • Experience in developing and maintaining budgets
  • Systems oriented; creating and following
  • Moderate to high level of construction experience; hands on and management
  • Must possess a keen eye for facility improvements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude & pro-active mindset
  • High level of integrity and commitment
  • Punctual and responsive
  • Proficient in basic computer programs
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Staff and key relationship management
    • Managing, facility maintenance, parking, security and cleanup staff
    • Delegate tasks appropriate across staff subdivisions
    • Establish and maintain a clean line of communication with internal departments to ensure the most successful operations strategies and execution of events
    • Develop and keep key relationships with relevant stadium vendors
    • Coordinate and lead project management of sub-contractors
  • Continual review and revision of operational procedure and policy
    • Coordinate activities and events with other Tacoma Rainiers departments and external clients
    • Develop systems for operational success and training
    • Relentless pursuit to uphold and build a positive culture for employees and peers
  • Supervise facility usage, operations, equipment maintenance, etc.
    • Coordinate with Director of Field Operations on maintaining strategic annual maintenance calendar (i.e. parking lot sweep, stadium pressure wash, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain annual budget
    • Hiring and scheduling of staff
    • Materials procurement
    • Facility repair
    • Maintenance programs
  • Understand and maintain major mechanical systems throughout the ballpark
    • Electrical, Lighting, HVAC, Water, Sewer, Cable, etc.
